With over fifteen years of experience guiding and instructing, Alaska Mountain Guides offers a unique opportunity to learn and explore in some of the most fascinating places in the world. In Utah, the Alta based programs explore the Wasatch Mountains, which offer some of the best snow in the world coupled with fantastic terrain and abundant sunshine.

The International Wilderness Leadership School is a division of Alaska Mountain Guides & Climbing school. IWLS leadership programs take place in some of the worlds most alluring wilderness areas and include technical training in: alpine mountaineering, sea kayaking, rafting, canoeing, rock and ice climbing, backcountry skiing/ snowboarding, backpacking and more. We work closely with the Wilderness Education Association (WEA). The WEA was founded by Paul Petzoldt and has been certifying outdoor leaders since 1977.
